After earning her BA degree in design, Alissa secured a position at a highly regarded SF Bay Area Kitchen & Bath Studio where, for over a decade, she served a diverse clientele. Ultimately, she managed other Studio design staff and worked alongside the construction team to oversee and implement the team's expansive portfolio. These projects spanned simple, budget-friendly makeovers to complex renovations involving multi-million-dollar homes. Being able to understand her clients' needs and turning dreams into reality took on a new significance when, after moving to Colorado in 2017, Alissa completed the training and licensure to become a full-service residential Realtor® and Broker Associate.

Maybe that's why she's so admired by her team, other financial professionals, and clients alike. Community
Wife, Mom, Dog Mom & Overall 'People Person'
After graduating college, Alissa married her high school sweetheart and became Alissa Mesnickow (pronounced MEHZ-ni-koh). Soon after, as new homeowners themselves, she and Tim joined forces to tackle what would be the first of many real estate investments; all including projects that involved kitchen, bath or whole house renovations.
Fast forward to today: as Native Californians, the Mes Family completely delights in Colorado living, including the sunny days, change of seasons and crazy, unpredictable weather! As someone who has personally relocated several times, Alissa has also learned firsthand the stress and challenges involved with intrastate moves. Whether you are buying or selling, you can count on Alissa to have some helpful tips, many based on her own life experiences. (For new arrivals to Colorado, these first three are on us: Hydrate, hydrate, HYDRATE! use sunscreen, and, always dress in LAYERS!)
In 2017 Alissa and her family moved to Broomfield, Colorado, a community known for its trails, parks, open space, and outdoor lifestyle. Her amazing (now teenage) son is involved in a multitude of activities including competitive baseball, drums, and bass guitar. We're not sure how she does it, but somehow Alissa finds time to always be his cheerleader.
Maybe it's because she understands the value of community. She carefully balances (and juggles!) her calendar to ensure she enjoys time with family, friends, neighbors and even local business people. She treasures the time spent traveling, attending sporting events, watching movies, taking leisurely bike rides, trying new eateries, indulging in good BBQ or simply hanging out around a campfire with her family and their fun-loving pup, a spunky Wirehaired Vizsla.
STRUCTURAL ROOTS
-Alissa Mesnickow
Even as a child, I had a keen awareness of architecture and design. The diverse houses and unique storefronts in my neighborhood, nestled in the hills of San Francisco’s East Bay area, fascinated me. The Tudors and Mission style cottages standing side-by-side sparked my imagination. But it was my grandparents’ home, affectionately called the Oakes House, that ultimately spurred my dreams. The warmth and charm of that amazing home, and all the people it served, inspired my decision to, like my grandfather before me, pursue a career involving real estate. Built in the 1930s and handed down through generations, the Oakes House provided much more than shelter. Its rich history of welcoming everyone “home” became the backbone and inspiration for my business, Structural Roots.
When the roots are deep, there is no reason to fear the wind.
